212 Project
At 211 degrees water is hot, at 212 degrees a transformation happens as the water begins to boil and turn to steam. Just one degree makes all the difference. The 212 Project is a challenge to turn your life up that one extra degree and allow the Word of God to transform from the inside out. As you begin to see the transformation in your life, you will notice a hunger developing. This hunger will not be satisfied by a meal -- it goes much deeper. This is a hunger that pierces your heart and goes right to the very core of your being. This is a hunger that cannot be appeased by the feeble offerings of this world. This hunger screams out for more and will only be satisfied with the life-changing power of the Word of God. Five-for-Five Challenge This is phase one of the 212 project, the entry point. The base challenge is simply to read your Bible at least five minutes a day, five days a week. We’re not trying to get through a certain number of verses or reading a Christian devotional, commentary or book along with the Bible reading. The five-for-five challenge is just about reading your Bible for at least five minutes a day and seeing what begins to happen. Each month we will focus on a different book or group of books in the Bible. Verse Memorization A verse - or set of verses - will be assigned each Monday. This verse will be taken from the book of the Bible that is being focused on that month. 212 participants will be encouraged to memorize this verse - or set of verses - each week. Bible Reading Plan As we work through this Bible reading plan, try not to just read the Bible to check something off your list. If something sticks out to you and you want to spend some time on it, do that. If you don't quite understand something and you need to re-read it a few times, do that. The important thing is that you are spending time reading your Bible and trying to understand and apply what it is saying. Each month we will focus on a different book of the Bible. Everyone will go through each book at their own pace, and that is fine. At C3, Ground Zero and TNT we will spend time on a couple of occasions throughout the month talking about we are learning and experiencing during our time in the Bible.
