About the event

"Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving." - Colossians 2:6-7

Roots seeks to help middle school students transition from being unsure of who they are, or where they fit in, to being rooted in a relationship with Jesus Christ. Our goal is to share Biblical truths with the students and surround them with a community of believers so that they may grow in their faith. At Roots, our goal is to help students grow in their knowledge and love for the Lord, and help set a good foundation for their faith. Roots is a place where we want all students to feel welcome, and where they can grow in relationships both with God and with others.  Roots is for 6th through 8th graders and meets every Tuesday night from 7 - 8:00 PM. We usually begin the night with a fun time of games, followed by a time of lesson where students can learn more about God’s word. After lesson, we split off into smaller groups where students and leaders can have an in-depth discussion about the lesson and how it applies to them personally. With that, we sometimes like to spend time in worship, praying for others, eating pizza, or planning a fun theme for a particular night! There is always something fun to do at Roots, where students can feel like they belong and grow.
