Being Present Matters

Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted.

~Psalm 25:16

Dear Campus Life Friends –

I was walking down the hall here at Campus Life a week or so ago, and noticed a young woman talking with one of our staff people. Not a strange occurrence here as people stop by all the time to chat. But later I spoke with Denise about her, and she said that the young woman was going through a tough medical situation and just didn’t want to be alone. I totally get that. We were never intended to do life totally alone. We need others around us to support and encourage us, especially in difficult times. This is a big part of what we do every day here at Campus Life. We are the hands and feet of Christ, and sometimes the listening ear, the shoulder to cry on or the hug of someone who cares. Like I tell our staff and volunteers, half of doing ministry is just showing up. This is just one more component as we help people move one step closer to Jesus.

From a ministry standpoint, March was a great month here at Campus Life. Hundreds of people each week participate in our programs and activities. It is so exciting to see young children growing in their faith. It is also just as exciting to see people much later in life doing so, as well as all ages in between. We’re never too young or too old to learn spiritual truth, and to apply these truths to our lives. Helping people to grow spiritually and become more Christ-like, everyday.

I hope that you have a smile on your face and joy in your heart this Easter. We love God, but He loved us first. Celebrate Easter. Love your families. Enjoy the life that God has given you. He is risen! Praise God. Happy Easter from our family at Campus Life to yours. Thank you for all that you do to help keep this ministry moving forward in Christ. Your partnership, prayers and financial support are needed, valued and appreciated. You are making it possible for us to share the life changing message of Jesus Christ with area young people and their families – every day. Blessings to you and yours this Easter.

Making a difference in people’s lives - together,
