Going Above and Beyond

Jim Green
In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.  ~Matthew 5:16

Dear Campus Life Friends –

Please allow me the opportunity to brag on some of our volunteers here at Campus Life.  In fact, let me brag on a bunch of them.

Situation #1: Senior Luncheon on February 12th - Our student volunteers greeted

our participants, served the food to our participants, and then brushed off the snow on the 50+ cars of our participants.  Talk about going above and beyond.

Situation #2: One of our Senior Oasis volunteers visited  an elderly woman for YEARS. She’s so distraught when the woman passes away at 104, that the volunteer forms an additional Campus Life serving opportunity - making meals for people that would benefit from a home-cooked meal, and then delivering them. She then built a team of people to do the same - Cooks for Christ.  Again, going above and beyond.

Situation #3: Our grounds volunteer who not only mows the grass, but maintains the

lawn mowers, cuts down hanging trees, stacks wood, reorganizes garage, and does any maintenance needed inside and out. Yes, he goes WAY above and beyond.

These people, and the many others like them, who give of their time and talents

volunteering with Campus Life, do what they do - JUST BECAUSE THEY LOVE JESUS!

Isn’t that awesome! We are so blessed to have them as a part of our ministry teams.

Blessed to be a blessing to others.

From a ministry standpoint, March was a great month here at Campus Life.  Hundreds of people each week participated in our programs and activities.  It is so exciting to see young children growing in their faith.  It’s also just as exciting to see people much later in life doing so, as well as all ages in between.  We’re never too young or too old to learn spiritual truth, and to apply these truths to our lives.  Just helping people move one step closer to Jesus, everyday.

Thank you for all that you do to help keep this ministry moving forward in Christ.  Your partnership, prayers and financial support are needed, valued and appreciated. We pray that you have a smile on your face and joy in your heart this Easter season.  Celebrate Easter.  Love your families.  Enjoy the life that God has given you.  Happy Easter from our family at Campus Life to yours.  He is risen! He has risen indeed! Praise God.

  Serving the kingdom together,
