“Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.’ ” Matthew 19:14
Dear Campus Life Friends –
“So, what brings you joy?” I use that question often when talking with people. You can learn a lot from that question. It causes people to stop and think about what really matters most. You know what brings us joy here at Campus Life? It’s the child at Adventure Camp a few weeks ago
that after hearing the Gospel message, went home and prayed with his parents to ask Jesus into his heart. It’s the kid coming out of juvenile jail, that calls our office to connect over lunch (this is happening much more regularly now). It’s the new volunteers who are blown away by the way God can use them to make an eternal impact on someone's life. It’s the new people showing up in a Bible study, not sure what to expect, but warmly welcomed into the group. This brings us joy as we watch people move one step closer to Jesus. God’s at work - this should bring joy to all of us.
GAME ON! It’s time, once again, to launch our Campus Life school year programs and activities. I cannot believe how fast summer went by. Great outreaches, great ministry opportunities, great times of mixing faith, friends, fellowship, and fun. But summer is over, and we are so ready to get things rolling for another great time of ministry. Where are you plugged in? We have Bible studies for people of almost any age, and there are programs for kids from 2nd grade through high school. We also have wonderful programs for senior adults, and strategic serving and volunteering opportunities. C'mon, there’s a place for you to get involved. Try it, we know you’ll like it.
Most people won’t get excited about this, but we sure are. We now have two new furnaces
and four new air conditioning units - PRAISE GOD! A very special thank you to everyone who contributed to our Fund-A-Cause appeal at the auction, and our Summer Harvest appeal in July/August. We made our goal of $36,000 (plus a little bit more). We couldn’t have done it without you, and we greatly appreciate your generosity. You are such an important part of this ministry in so many ways. Your continued prayers and generosity allow us to be on the front lines daily, sharing the good news of salvation in Christ Jesus. We appreciate you, and never take you for granted. You are a blessing to us and we thank you for being there for us.
Making a difference in people’s lives - together,
